3. How We Use Your Data and Lawful Basis
We process your data only where we have a lawful basis under GDPR.
Audit Facilitation: To verify if your energy spend meets the €10,000+ requirement and to pass your details to an independent. (Lawful Basis: Consent).

4. Data Sharing and Independent Auditor Disclaimer
As a lead generation facilitator, we share your data with third parties necessary to execute the audit process:
Independent Auditors: Upon eligibility confirmation, your details are shared with independent, SEAI-registered energy auditors (e.g., Scope Energy).
Liability Disclaimer: These auditors are independent professionals who maintain their own Professional Indemnity and Public Liability insurance. SMEgrants.ie is not liable for technical findings or on-site conduct.
IT Service Providers: Data is processed via Squarespace (hosting) and secure form providers.

Security: We employ multi-factor authentication and SSL encryption to protect your business data.
Retention: We retain eligibility data for 24 months to ensure the successful completion of the audit and to offer follow-up implementation support via MCS Consultancy if required.
